I also think it would be better if your secret police/spy academy/ministry of information did a much better job at quelling rebels and guerrillas if you gave them a larger budget, maybe to the point where there would be no rebellions or guerrilla attacks so long as your national happiness level was at a certain point.
I think it would be neat if they made the military a more expanded feature of the game and that military accomplishments would boost your approval and national happiness if you wanted to play a dictatorship route, likewise you could maybe do peacekeeping missions if you are playing a democratic route. I'd like for the military aspect to be expanded to the point where you could perhaps start wars with other nations and you could colonise land and form your own Empire. I woukd also like to see the game generally become more expansive in different sectors. Considering it would be on better hardware with PS5 and Xbox Series X, I think the most important thing would be to greatly increase the population cap on your island.
